Manager/Coach Certification

Safety Certification Requirements

One of CPLL’s most important goals is to ensure the safety of the children who participate. We do this by requiring ALL prospective coaches and managers to be “certified” before they step on to the field to participate in CPLL-sponsored games and practices. The following requirements apply to ALL persons who wish to be considered as a coach or manager for the upcoming CPLL Baseball and Softball season:

  • Complete the Little League Volunteer Application and provide a copy of valid driver’s license and Social Security number. The application is available HERE.  Print it out and return it with a copy of your driver's license to the meeting (see below) or mail it to: CPLL PO Box 664 Plainsboro NJ 08536
  • Attend Coaches and Managers meeting on March 27th in the Cranbury School Large Group Room from 7:30-8:45pm
  • Complete First Aid Training (included in the 7:30-8:45 meeting listed above)

Please note: Little League requires that each team send a coach to represent their team at the First Aid training.  Every CPLL coach or manager must attend a session at least once every three years.  First Aid training is mandatory for all new coaches and managers.  Safety/First Aid clinics are run by Brian Gould, chief of Plainsboro Rescue Squad. Topics covered include basic first aid, emergencies, injury prevention, use of the AED, and concussions.  Please email the Safety Officer with any questions:

Additionally, click HERE for info about the free coaching clinic on Sunday March 26th at Robbinsville HS to help get you ready for the season. Instructors from The Baseball Factory and The Softball Factory will help you create practice and game plans for T-ball and Rookie (coach-pitch) baseball teams, as well as softball teams up to age 12.
